First I want to
explain that as a Coach, I am supporting you and teaching you so
that you can use the Process Coaching tools yourself.
I will always be
there when you need assistance, but I want to empower you to
heal yourself.
So you are
the practitioner, and I am the coach.
We have believed for so long
that suffering or unhappiness is part of life.
Yet we
continue to seek a deeper meaning in life, to find what’s
missing. We might ask ourselves, “ Why am I not happy?” when we
have what we want-the spouse, the children, the home, the car,
the career. “ I should be happy.”
And when
we don’t have what we want.. “I want to travel the world, stay
home with my family, live in abundance doing what I love, but
it’s not possible! We can’t always get what we want!” as the
song goes.
When I
asked a friend what was bothering her in her day to day life. She was
surprised, “ Well, yes, lots of things bother me. That’s life.
What can I do? But I have everything I want. I think.” But, I
asked her how do you feel? “ Not so great. I don’t know why.”
And this
is where the work begins. To ask the questions, to peel back the
layers, to find the deeper causes, to know who we are. To see
what we haven’t been able to see.
Some of us
don’t want to know. “ It’s too hard, it’s too painful. I have to
follow the status quo.” And that’s ok! There isn’t a judge or
jury to strike you down. Process Coaching makes it easier than
it’s ever been to bring resources in, to make changes and new
choices, to change your mind and to be authentic adults, rather
than reacting to the past, if you want to.
Process
Coaching offers new tools and perspectives to learn and live new
ways of loving and being true to ourselves, finding what we want
and living authentically.
We are not
meant to suffer. We are meant to be supported and accepted to be
who we are and to do what we want to do.
But how do we do that when our
reality seems to stay the same no matter what we think?
